Many cribs come with a riser which can be used to create an incline for babies with reflux.

The Maxi-Cosi lora

The Iora is an infant bassinet designed to help parents feel connected with their baby while they sleep. It can be adjusted up and down and shifted through three different slide positions to fit under the bed of the parent or in the corner so that the baby is always in reach. The mesh siding allows air to circulate through, allowing you to see your baby easily. You can also keep extra pajamas or supplies in the large basket beneath.

As opposed to other bedside cribs, the Iora folds flat and comes with a travel bag which allows it to be carried anywhere. It was easy to move from room to room, and our mom testers thought it was the right size for a bedside crib. The large storage basket is perfect to store bedding and nappies.

This is a great option for parents looking to co-sleep, but don't wish to share their beds or whose partners may be suffering from mobility issues, such as arthritis or back pain. Our mum testers were thrilled to be able to easily access their baby in the Iora and that it had an option to have a reflux incline which helped alleviate gas.

Our moms also love the fact that it complies with NICE guidelines, which are to place the baby in a crib or Moses basket on its own (with no toys, blankets pillows, etc.). They also say that the mattress is firm and comfortable for the baby and easy to find sheets for. It's not as light as some of the cribs that are smaller on our list, so if you prefer something lighter and easier for you to move around, consider a different alternative.
